ExoMars TGO/NOMAD‐UVIS Vertical Profiles of Ozone: 1. Seasonal Variation and Comparison to Water

چکیده

We present ∼1.5 Mars Years (MY) of ozone vertical profiles, covering LS = 163° in MY34 to 320° MY35, a period which includes the 2018 global dust storm. Since April 2018, Ultraviolet and Visible Spectrometer channel Nadir Occultation for Discovery (NOMAD) instrument aboard ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter has observed vertical, latitudinal seasonal distributions ozone. Around perihelion, relative abundance both water (from coincident NOMAD measurements) increases with decreasing altitude below ∼40 km. aphelion, localized decreases exist between 25 35 km location modeled peak abundances. High-latitude (>±55°), high (40–55 km) equinoctial enhancements are hemispheres (LS ∼350°–40°) discussed companion article this work (Khayat et al., 2021). The descending branch main Hadley cell shapes distribution at 40°–60°, possible signature northern hemisphere thermally indirect identifiable from 40°–80°. Morning terminator observations show elevated abundances respect evening observations, average 20 40 an order magnitude higher sunrise compared sunset, attributed diurnal photochemical partitioning along line sight O or fluctuations abundance. retrievals presented here provide most complete description date as function season latitude.

a comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

Transport and the Seasonal Variation of Ozone

are deduced from the comparison of model results to stratospheric data. The seasonal transport is dominated by a combination of the diabatic circulation and transient planetary wave activity acting on a diffusively and photochemically determined background state. The seasonal variation is not correctly modeled as a diffusive process. The buildup of total ozone at high latitudes during winter is...

Lidar measurements of ozone vertical profiles.

Remote measurements of trace constituents using an active technique such as lidar have been made possible for the rapid development of powerful tunable laser sources. This paper, originally presented at the OSA Topical Meeting on Optical Remote Sensing of the Atmosphere, in January 1985, illustrates the differential absorption lidar technique used for the measurement of the ozone vertical distr...

Concentration of ozone- its seasonal and temporal variation in Hyderabad

Measurement of ozone in the urban environment of Hyderabad was carried out synoptically at four different locations during the year 2011. The amount of ozone in the ambient air varied from 20 μg/m3 to 273 μg/m3 exhibiting wide temporal and seasonal variation. The ozone concentration is invariably peak at noon time and remained high during early summer and spring period. On many occasions 1-h oz...
